Renaissance Capital recognised as emerging markets leader at 2018 Global Capital Bond Awards

Firm named among top three in multiple emerging market categories


Moscow, 25 May 2018 -- Renaissance Capital, a leading emerging and frontier markets investment bank, is pleased to announce that it has been named among the top three in three categories at the 2018 Global Capital Bond Awards, the premier awards for the international bond market. 


Renaissance Capital was named #2 in the Most Impressive Sales and Trading Team for Emerging Markets category, while Dmitry Gladkov, Global Head of Financing, was ranked #3 in the Most Impressive Emerging Markets Origination Banker division, and Konstantin Derkatschew, Director, Financing Group, was #2 in the Rising Star Emerging Markets Banker category.


The categories in which Renaissance Capital was named among the top three also featured entrants from major global banks including JP Morgan and Citigroup. The Firm was the only non-bulge bracket investment bank with a strong presence across a range of emerging and frontier markets cited in these categories. 


Renaissance Capital has expanded its debt capital markets offering in recent years and is pleased to note that its efforts are gaining widespread recognition among participants in emerging bond markets. The Firm has arranged a number of debut, unique and landmark transactions for emerging market borrowers in the past year, including:


  • The first corporate issue for a foreign borrower in the Russian domestic rouble market for KTZ (Kazakhstan Temir Zholy)
  • The first local currency international bond issue out of Georgia for Bank of Georgia
  • The debut eurobond issue for Eurotorg, a privately-owned retailer in Belarus
